![]() ![]() I run into similar issues with an old phone where the cable connection would disconnect (not sure if it's physical or a software bug or whatever) regardless if I used ADB or MTP or what not WHILE ALSO having problematic wifi copying (losing packets, resetting connection.). Btw, I use the pc and don't connect the phone directly to the drive because otherwise the battery might be emptied out before finishing. My new phone, mi 10 (android 11) keeps the last modified date, so I ~let it for about an hour till it's done. I take a lot of screenshots and I empty ~20.000 every ~2months on my external drive using the pc in between. I think moving files with total commander lan plugin (it has a mobile app and plugins) you might be able to transfer them and keep the last modified data (took me some time to set it up). I noticed that while on my old phomne (android 6) the time stamps were reset when moving files from phone to pc, my new one (android 11), keeps the last modified date. I think there's a paid program, mtpdrive, that supposedly mounts your phone as external device. ![]() It probably won't even let you select the phone storage. Mtp doesn't make the phone behave that much as an external device. I kinda doubt any of those "x"copy programs will work. Just make sure to tag the post with the flair and give a little background info/context. On Fridays we'll allow posts that don't normally fit in the usual data-hoarding theme, including posts that would usually be removed by rule 4: “No memes or 'look at this '” We are not your personal archival army. ![]()
